Trade Fair - Updated 9th December 2008...

Each year the Lothian Area Board organises a Trade Fair to give the young companies participating in the Company Programme a chance to sell and market their goods and services to the general public.  The Trade Fair is held on a Saturday in early December, each young company is given a stall at the Trade Fair venue and they have to decorate and staff the stand all day.

2008

The 2008 Trade Fair was held on Saturday 6th December.  The venue for this year's event was Festival Square in central Edinburgh.  The Board hosted the event in a heated and branded marquee on the Square.

Thanks to our friends at Essential Edinburgh for allowing us to use Festival Square - they were a great help to us and key to making the event work!

Festival Square, on Lothian Road, is at the heart of Edinburgh City Centre, and has been home to the Edinburgh Television Festival and various touring Continental markets over the last few years.

More information from the Big Day, including photos and details of award winners will appear here soon....

Awards:

The Lothian Area Board gave out three awards on the day - best product, best stall and best sales and marketing technique.  These awards were judged by a panel of experts throughout the day.
