Welcome to the Lothian Area Board Website

Young Enterprise Scotland (YES) is Scotland's leading business skills programme provider for aspiring young people.  Our programme gives young people the opportunity to test out their business ideas and develop their own small business as a member of a dynamic team.  Welcome to the website for Young Enterprise across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The aim of this website is to promote Young Enterprise and be an efficient and effective information source for everyone involved in YES across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Our main supporter for the 2008/2009 year is Scottish & Newcastle PLC.  We're extremely grateful for the valuable support we receive from our supporters, volunteers, Business Advisers and Link Teachers.  To find out more about the companies that support us, and find out how to get involved, please click here.

Fast Facts....

Did you know that participation in the YE Company Programme correlates with better future earnings?  Studies have shown that in particular, the 30+ age group of YE alumni earn a third more than their peers.  People that went through the Company Programme are twice as likely to start their own business than their peers.  Studies also show that YE was the activity that best prepared alumni for work.  Click here to find out more...
